Professional Development

BEE hosts panels of faculty on topics that are critical for success in the profession but often not explicitly taught. The goal of the panels is to create transparency and ensure that all graduate students have equal access to the information and skills that they need to succeed. In the past, BEE has hosted panels on presentation skills, making the most out of conferences, and the publication process.

How to Get Involved

This semester, BEE will be hosting panels on evaluating research ideas and navigating faculty interactions. Sign up for BEE's listserv and follow us on Twitter to find out when panels are happening! Faculty who are interested in serving on a panel should contact Megan Lang (megan.lang@berkeley.edu) or Nina Roussille (nina_roussille@berkeley.edu).
